What do you do when family members only call you when they need something? Other times they ignore you? What do you do when you feel taken advantage and used by your own relatives?

Stop taking their calls. Some family is best seen only at Christmas and Thanksgiving, and if they can’t even comport themselves well then, then at weddings and funerals.

It’s a sad fact of life but you can’t change people. You can only make it so you don’t have to deal with them.
