Why would an American want to retire in a developing country?

Once your parents are dead and your kids are out of the house, if you even have any, you’ve got very little tying you down. When your money can buy so much more elsewhere, staying where the cost of living is so high makes no sense.

When my mom dies, I’ll probably spend the rest of my days in Colombia.
