How do I know if the person texting/talking face to face with me is genuinely enjoying the conversation, and more importantly, enjoying my company (suppose this is a potential romance relationship)?

Guys can fake engagement if they just want to get laid. In this case you want to go deeper and start ascertaining compatibility. Ask questions that don’t have easy answers.
