As a person that believes in an afterlife, do you think that you just believe that there is life after death because you afraid if there just being nothing and there being no chance to seeing your loved ones who have passed before you?

Nah. Before I believed in an afterlife, I was just perfectly fine with the concept of oblivion. Heck, I’m still fine with it. This life has been so amazing and wondrous and phenomenal for me, that if it all ended this very second, I’d have no regrets.

Coming to an understanding of divinity has made me cognizant of a reality so unutterably sublime that I can’t help but follow all the implications. God’s usually referred to in terms of omnipotence and omniscience, but omnibenevolence rarely gets the attention it should, usually just kind of taken for granted.

But if you can truly understand the implications of omnibenevolence, then an afterlife where we can spend eternity following our deepest love simply falls out of the equation. And if you have experienced omniscience and omnipotence in the service of omnibenevolence, it at some point stops even being weird. Divinity is natural, it’s everything else that’s unnatural.
