What is it like to work as a programmer?

I personally really like it. I find it rewarding to fix technical problems and make people’s lives easier. I like thinking architecturally and designing interfaces. I like that it’s not physically taxing and most days I can go home at 5. I like that it’s well-paid and in demand.
