You need to focus less on the outcome and more on the interaction. I give this exact same advice for guys who want to meet ladies. If people sense you have an agenda they’ll be gone super-fast, even if they would have been perfectly fine with your desired outcome had you not come on so strong.

Just go about it like you’re making friends and not husbands. Trust me, guys will change their tune quick and start chasing you.
