How can I be more approachable/appealing for dating when it comes to attracting men?

This all really depends on what you want out of dating. It boils down to two things. Getting inside the head of the guys you’re interested, and then doing what it takes to get them hooked on you. If you like shy nerds, you need to take a very different approach to appealing to them than you would for social, athletic guys.

A shy nerd is going to want to make a mental connection before he makes a physical connection, and the other kind of guy is going to want the converse. You need to open the space for interaction, and then invite them to interact with you. A girl that makes it really easy for me to interact with her the way I’m looking to interact with her is a girl that’s going to get the lion’s share of my attention.

I mean, dressing up, makeup, and stuff that makes you look visually appealing to guys is great and all, but the reality is, it’s a lot of work, and so you should be doing those to make yourself feel better, not to attract men. If a man is what you want, then you need to focus your energy on interaction rather than attraction.
