What does it mean when a guy says, “thanks, love”?

It’s just an endearment. I’ve noticed certain endearments are more common in certain parts of the world. I started calling ladies “love” when I saw Chloe’s boyfriend use it on 24, it seemed like such a cute and cosmopolitan thing to say to a girl. I can’t pull off the British accent he used, but I can still try to be suave.
