Cheating arises from unexamined mental weakness. It’s a little like sociopathy in that regard. If you have the capability to be worried about it, then you don’t possess the mental weakness that’s prerequisite to the behavior.

Cheating is work, hard fucking work. You have to want it bad enough to lie to someone you love about it, sneak around behind their back, and cover your tracks. People are smart, it only takes one misstep for the whole thing to crash down on your head. So you work harder to run circles around their distrust.

Look, if you love your girlfriend, and only want to be with her, the chances that you’ll actually cheat on her are miniscule. Guys that do that are in crappy marriages with people that they might have loved years ago, but that spark is long, long gone.

Love, cherish, protect, and care for your girlfriend. Just that alone is so rare and precious that neither of you would ever think about messing that up.
