My mother doesn't like me anymore. What can I do?

Just cut off contact until she comes to her senses. A lot of people only see their families during Christmas and Thanksgiving. These holidays are times for reconciliations. One of these years it’ll happen. Sad but there’s really no way to fix the situation.

If and when she does reach out, do not under any circumstances bring up the past. Don’t rub it in her face that you’re doing fine without her, just keep your mouth shut and enjoy the fact that you are interacting with your mother again. It could turn at a moment’s notice and last again for years even without your bungling. She might bring it up but you just have to be the bigger person and apply diplomacy. She’s fighting a losing battle.
