How do I know God exists?

You feel it deep in your heart.

Oh, were you hoping for some deep philosophical argument, perhaps even a logical proof? How would that be any more convincing than a feeling deep in your heart?

What a lot of people don’t realize is that reason is built on top of our emotional, primal monkey minds, it doesn’t exist outside those minds. The same species that came up with science and logic is the same species that decided that Jesus was the son of God and turned water into wine and rose from the dead.

Not only the same species, but also the same sorts of minds. Reason and religion are cut from the same cloth, by the same sorts of people. It feels different now but 2000 years ago, the theologians were also the scientists and inventors.
