Wait for him to what? Magically see your feelings and do all the work himself to build a relationship with you?

If you like someone, you need to tell them how you feel about them. Don’t leave them guessing.

What a lot of women don’t seem or want to realize is that who we end up with is largely a matter of probability. We shoehorn fate onto it later. Everybody makes ugly determinations about who they choose to pursue at any given time. And two people are rarely 100% into each other right at the start.

If you got together with him and then realized later that he usually goes for big booty girls where you have a smaller booty, would you break up with him? If so, you need to just stick with guys that approach you, because that’s generally how guys decide who to go after.

I’m not saying to not go after the guy you love, just to realize that you don’t know what’s in his head. You find out by communicating with him.
