Is it wrong for a 23 year old to date a 37 year old?

A2A, my tagline says “You can do anything you want, just be an adult about it,” and I believe it. Who really cares what people say? If she doesn’t, and he doesn’t, who’s to really say they’re wrong?

My girlfriend is Ethiopian, and you have no idea how judgmental those people can be. I didn’t believe it until I saw it. If there are Ethiopians sitting at the coffee shop where we meet, I have to go pick her up across the strip mall where they can’t see her getting in the car with me.

At the local coffee shop where I go to, the owners got divorced after like 15 years, they have some 5 kids. She got the business, he got the kids. There was no big divorce fight, she pays him alimony. She took up with a young black guy from the city. Oh how people talked. I thought the maturity they showed was great.

We should be allowed to change our lives to suit our deep inner desires. If a marriage stops working, we shouldn’t have to wait until the ink’s dry on the divorce before finding happiness. The problem is when people act like children and sneak around and do reckless things that affect other people’s lives.

So long as he doesn’t ruin her life with a child or STD, they should feel free to have as much responsible, adult fun as they want.
