A person without the capacity to believe in and hope for better is bound for a hard life. Such a person can easily take situations that just about anyone else would consider to be wonderful and look that gift horse as carefully in the mouth as they can for problems.
And if you’re specifically looking for problems, then you will find problems. This is but one of many many ways we create our own reality even before you start invoking magic.
But the question isn’t asking that. The question asks, “regardless of mindset or choices made can things turn out negatively all the time?” I’d take issue with the word “negatively.” This means different things to different people. You might think a lifetime of eating pizza and ice cream to be a quite positive thing, I would find it to be quite negative.
So in actuality it’s still a subjective question. In the above example, in a world where pizza and ice cream are the only options, I’d be annoyed about it for maybe 3 days, then I’d adjust to the new normal, and see if I can hack it to make it better.
For someone to which events always turn out negatively, two things must happen.
