Do females get more upvotes and views on their answers on Quora, rather than males, just like on Facebook? If so,how can we change the trend?

A2A, hi Vivian! I don’t think this is true. Women willing to trade on sex appeal will get lots of followers based on that alone, but very few of them care to do that. It’s really a matter of confirmation bias. I would not judge anyone for putting their best foot forward but Quora is geared towards intellectual discussion and not matchmaking, so a lady just putting up a pretty face is only going to get so far.

I like to make an analogy any time this topic comes up. I like to watch music videos. I like the spectacle and the artistry. I’m not gonna lie, I also like the scantily-clad females. But you know what I like more than any of that? The music. How long do you think you can sit there and watch a video of hot ladies dancing to some song you hate? If the music isn’t great, nothing can make up for it.

When Daler was asked about the decisions that went into his video, he said that he had been catching all kinds of grief about how his videos were only popular because of all the ladies in them. So he made a video where it’s just him interacting with himself to prove it. Of course, he was right.
