Do we treat men and women differently when they are dumped due to their ex lacking physical attraction for them?

What’s happened is that it has become extremely politically incorrect for men to express their physical preferences, probably for good reason, but it also leads to a lot of confusion on the part of women. Sex is just something Americans have a lot of hang-ups around and you can look at all of this kind of thing as just a manifestation of those hang-ups.

I don’t think it’s necessary to tell anyone they need to lose weight. We beat ourselves up over attractiveness way, way, way more than other people do. Someone 10 years ago was a stone-cold caustic bitch to you and so for decades you have to deal with body issues.

But the specific gender discrepancy here, well let me say that I just consider it odd. Women are way ‘better’ at body-shaming than men could ever be. But men get all the shit about it. Maybe it just comes across worse when guys do it, I haven’t unpacked the psychology yet.
