I'm not interested in talking about anything at all, no conversation interests me but I do want to spend time with people. What's up with me?

I don’t think there is anything wrong with you. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to want this kind of interaction. What I would do is just keep it friendly, non-committal, and non-exclusive until you find someone who wants to interact with you the same way you want to interact with them.

I’ve known the girl I’m seeing for some 4 years now. When we first starting hanging out she wanted the same kind of interaction that you do. The thing about me is, I’m really smart, but I work really hard to not rub it in people’s faces. So it did not bother me at all and I just kept things light and fun enough for her.

Fast forward a few years and now she’s doing things like shopping for condos and learning how to write computer programs. So our conversations are a lot more intellectual now. What was really amusing was when she started nagging me for not being intellectual enough for her! I had to laugh at that.
