How can I begin making money using HTML & CSS?

You can get a job as a “front-end developer” with just HTML and CSS knowledge, but these jobs are getting hard to find as there’s a massive flight away from self-hosting websites. I was a back-end guy at a company like this supporting a front-end guy who has the job you want. Any time he had a hard Javascript question, I would help him.

Their rarity makes focusing on those jobs exclusively a riskier option than just leveling up your skills with Javascript and getting a more modern front-end job.

You might try billing yourself as a designer or a WordPress technician. Dunno much about that world but you could luck your way into a crappy job with a crappy company. Some companies are getting so desperate they just push their standards out the car door on a busy street.

Just promise the world and learn on the job.
