No, you have it backwards. Theists are theophobes. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To contemplate the full power of the Lord is to fear the exercise of that power and be grateful that it is the Lord that guards it.

Nothing scares me more than God. And as I learn more and more about God, the more and more scared I get. And there’s no way out. A non-scary God isn’t really God, rather a cartoonish interpretation of Him.
