If there’s at least a few grand a month involved, you can always pawn it off on me. I love legacy application maintenance. The last company I worked for is still paying me to maintain their old site while they’re getting their new one up and running. The last time I did any serious work on it was around six months ago. Since then I’ve just been cashing checks and keeping an eye on it.
You know it’s a good gig when your biggest hassle is making up the invoices.
Of course, it took me about a year to get the app to the point to where I could put it on autopilot. I consider the last half year of “free” money to be me just enjoying the fruits of my skills and labor.
Of course, some programmers can’t be satisfied with easy money. They need to go do something hard. That’s okay by me. Send me your easy money project, I’ll be happy to take it on. I’ll do it from a beach in the Caribbean.
