How can I generate a consistent source of electricity so that I can charge my laptop if I am stranded on an island? I have no modern tools on the island except for my laptop and charger.

It would be virtually impossible to accomplish without any modern tools. There are hydropower rigs you could build, but you need tools and parts to build those.

Let’s assume you got something built that’s generating some power. Without a way to test the amount of current and wattage coming in over that thing you’ve built without modern tools, you’re just asking to blow up your fancy charger and laptop.
