Why do people view celibacy as weird or wrong?

My honest opinion about it is that society is stupid and sex-crazed. I have been dating a lady now for about a year and we do not have sex. I have learned to not be too open about that fact because I inevitably have to defend her against the charge that she’s using me. She’s not, we’re just not serious enough yet to be comfortable with it.

Also I think people think it’s sex only if penis is entering vagina. Personally for me, I can have satisfying experiences all while the clothes stay put. Sexuality is an enormous range of human experience. I don’t feel like I’m missing out just because I don’t often do the part that involves exposing yourself to the possibility of pregnancy or venereal disease.

If I’m at a bar and I had the choice to take girl home and have sex with her, or make out with her at the bar, take her digits, and go home and sleep, I’ll take the make-out session nine times out of ten.

Try to tell that to these idiot guys and girls, and they invariably think you’re gay or something. Oh well.
