Rest, heal, try to learn from your mistakes, and focus on yourself for the next few years.
Find a safe, healing place and spent as much time there as you need. Sometimes when I am hurting I’ll sit in all day or night and watch my favorite television shows and play my favorite video games. Take it slowly and don’t bite off more than you can chew. Healing takes time.
You’re going to want to start a new relationship, this time not a romantic one but a therapeutic one. Ask your best friend if they know any therapists. I found my therapist through a friend of mine who was a psychologist. She’s a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D.
I’d advise staying away from romance for at least a few years. You don’t want to find yourself in another abusive relationship and continuing old patterns. Just focus on yourself and your family. Maybe get some pets once your symptoms alleviate if you can.
