Does metaphysics exist without human consciousness?

A2A. What you are calling metaphysics, I would call psychology. I do not think psychology started with humans, though perhaps we were the first on Earth to come up with the concept. Animals have brains and neural systems and those brains and neural systems are the same as our brains and neural systems, ours is just a little better developed.
