Well, maybe if they were so bad they made me literally sick, or killed small animals or something, then I guess I would.

But really, if someone dumps you for a silly reason, there's always a real reason they won't or can't share. They're just choosing to blame the thing that doesn't seem (to them) to make them look bad.
