I see a therapist. I went in so that I might get professional guidance on a problem I thought I was having with relationships.
Anybody can see a therapist. Therapists all have to see therapists, it’s part of their job to do personal work alongside professional work. The only real requirement is that you set a goal. The therapists job is to shape the sessions to where they will be helpful to you in accomplishing that goal.
In the television show Billions a high-powered investment banking firm hires a staff psychologist to help keep the traders performing at a high level. She made a ridiculous amount of money, far more than her husband made as a US Attorney.
If you still feel like you could use the services of a therapist, by all means keep going. Just make sure that a) you have a good rapport with your therapist, and b) that you have a clear goal in mind.
