How can I approach this girl/talk to her in person?

I’m sorry and this is sad to say, but shy guys can’t really pick and choose who they want to date. You’re going to either have to find a way to get over your shyness long enough to approach her, or just stick to girls you’ve spent enough time around to feel comfortable with.

I’m tempted to say you can wait until you can catch her alone and go for it then. But from experience I know better. You’re not going to feel all that much more comfortable approaching her alone than you would approaching her with people around.

You might try letting your friends know you’re into her and letting them try to make something happen. One of the first girls I ever asked out, I’d made the ‘mistake’ of letting my friend know I was thinking of asking her out. Two days later, everybody I knew was on my ass to ask her out. I did and she said yes. It was soooo awkward, but I guess that comes with the territory with 16 year olds.

My advice to you: Nut up and approach her group, either with friends or by yourself. The world isn’t going to end.
