I just found out I am 1/8th Native American. Is it wrong to want to embrace this part of me?

People with zero Japanese ancestry move to Japan because they watched enough anime to believe they’d fit in there. I think you’re fine. Don’t expect them to roll out the red carpet for you and you’ll find American Indians as accommodating as anyone else interested in their culture.

Heck, my Ethiopian girlfriend has expressed multiple times that I’m very Ethiopian in mannerisms and outlook. I don’t understand it myself, I find most Ethiopian guys to be boorish, provincial, and immature. (she shares my view, hence why she’s dating a white guy) I only care for the ladies. So you can ‘adopt’ an ethnic identity that you don’t even have any connection to at all.
