Sometimes my boyfriend and I have nothing to say to each other. We are both generally quiet people, and the silences can be jarring. How should we handle this?

I like to fill up semi-awkward silences with music, or with horseplay. I’ll just start poking her or messing with her or something. Another cute trick we’ll play is one of us will look over at the other and say, “Hello!” really brightly, as if we just saw each other for the first time today.
