I don’t really live a simple life. I try to keep things as simple as I can, but that doesn’t stop them from getting really complicated. Another questioner says “it beats the rat race,” well, I like the rat race, I find it fun. In my twenties I labored under the assumption that climbing the social ladder would be onerous and difficult, I found meaning in my spiritual journey, so, to the chagrin of my father, I pointedly kept away from starting a career.
Eventually I got tired of being broke all the time and relying on the generosity of others. So I asked one of my friends if I could contract for him. The money I made from it allowed me to buy a brand new MacBook Pro and I was hooked. After a few short years I’m now making six figures working for CNN.
So, no.
