So somewhere in the multiverse, there's a version of me who is God like? Am I the only one who thought of this?

I had dogs growing up. Surely I must’ve seemed like gods to them. I can give or withhold food at my whim. I could make them feel AMAZING with just a few seconds petting them. (Can do that with my girlfriend too) I could open a portal to a whole new world (the back yard) and shut it just as quickly.

All this to say, ability is relative and there’s always going to be people, animals, imagined or otherwise, that you are pretty much a god compared to.

That said, God-hood is boring. Who wants to live in a world where you have no equals? Particularly for romance, it works best when you look up, at least a little, to the person you’re being romantic towards.

I think a lot of people could be God-like if they wanted to. They generally find other things to concern themselves with, pursuing god-like superpowers doesn’t really interest them. If only we could make it easier for people with talent to make a living doing what they would be really good at.
