Why does everything cost money?

Because time is the most valuable thing you have, and unless you don’t need the money, you don’t give it away for free. Plenty of things out there which don’t require other humans and are free. Plenty of things that people provide that they do for free. Like going to the coffee shop and talking to people. Sure, you have to pay for the coffee, but it’s only a few bucks, you’re not actually paying someone to talk to you.

Ask yourself if you could give yoga classes, would you do it for free? Given that the time you spend to do that would cut into other things you want to do with that time? Once you start getting a little older all those things you did when you were younger because you were just trying to find yourself, you don’t really care to do anymore. You have a career and a home life, those two things can take all your time up and leave you with none left for anything else.

You can find things like free yoga classes. Someone’s generally paying for them. The instructor isn’t just doing it out of the goodness of his heart. Sometimes people do things like that as a teaser because they think they’ll get paid work down the road. It usually doesn’t work out very well.
