How much does physical attraction matter in relationships?

I think it matters a lot. You should only ask someone out if you are attracted to them. There is someone out there for everyone and you should never ask anyone out out of pity or because you think there are other qualities that matter more. It’s not fair to that other person and not good for your self-esteem.

Everyone wants to feel desirable, especially by their partner. If you don’t actually desire your partner that’s just bad all around. It’s not just important for the early stages, it’s also important down the line too when you’re both old. You’re going to want to look back and enjoy all those memories of being young and dumb and beautiful.

Pick someone you’re both attracted to and comfortable being with.
