Why do some friendzoned guys keep investing time in trying to get the girl to want them as more than friends, rather than moving on to another girl?

When you fall in love with someone, you don’t want anyone else, you just want that one person. You’re not going to stop pursuing her until you’re not in love with her anymore. Eventually most people learn to stop falling in love at the drop of a hat and reserve those feelings for those they truly have a connection with. Until then they’re pretty much screwed.
