You should read this book sometime. It’s called Pimp, by a guy who calls himself Iceberg Slim. He describes how he’d pick out vulnerable girls, get their attention with flashy jewels and cars, and offer them a piece of the pie.
Before you know it he’s beating them with a coat hanger to keep them in line.
Let’s talk about modeling. It’s like several other industries including art, music, and professional sports in that there are always going to be way more people that want to do it than can get the top rewards. Getting to the top is all about who you know.
I guarantee you that the guys who can afford to pay $60–100k a year on talent are not going to be looking for said talent on dating websites. They’re going to be wandering around Miami Beach, trolling the latest concerts, hanging around the malls downtown in big cities. Why? Because a scout is going to want to see you in person, what does a crappy selfie say about your ability to look good in front of a real camera?
At best, this guy is just trying to impress you and get you alone so he can try to seduce you. At worst you’ll find your body being sold to other men and you won’t see a dime of it.
