You should read Pride and Prejudice and play close attention to how Elizabeth Bennett manages to snare Mr. Darcy. The ace card in Bennett’s pocket was that she had no idea just how rich Mr. Darcy was until after they visited his manor. To her, he was just another rich weirdo looking to lock her away in a marriage she hated. They built up a fierce attraction to each other before she really knew who he was.

The lesson here is to get on a level playing field with your target and do your best to stay there until you’re hooked on each other. Her not knowing who he was kept her from putting him on a pedestal. This enabled her to capture his attention. Deep down, we’re all just humans looking for love. Attractive people are no different. They have lots of options, but that only makes it harder to find what you really want.
