Look, just because you want to be the most important guy in a girl’s life, doesn’t mean that just happens because you asked her out. You have to really build up a connection with her before you ever even get a shot at being her one and only. If you were thinking the way you should about the whole deal then you would feel the same way. Why should any one girl be able to lay claim on your heart? Just because you had a few fun dates?

I’ve been dating this girl now for over a year and she still gets tons of texts while we’re together. Do I care? Nope. She usually doesn’t answer them, just looks at them. If they’re amusing she shares them with me. 80 percent of the time it’s insecure guys begging her to go out with them. I never ask her to hang out with me, she asks me to hang out with her.

Relax. So she’s got guy friends. So what? You have other lady friends right? No? Why don’t you go get some? Let them text you when you are together. Don’t even try to hide who they’re from from her.
