What does it mean when your crush says that you remind them of their sister and follows by saying it's a good thing?

One of my coworkers told another of my coworkers this at my last job. In this case he meant it to say he couldn’t form an attraction to her. Not that she could have ever been attracted to him, but whatever.

In general we seek out comfort in our relationships, and nothing comforts like a nice warm expressive family. Guys often, though not always, wind up with women with traits that recall their mother. Girls often, though not always, wind up with guys with traits that recall their father.

Some people are going to look at someone who reminds them of family as an attractive quality, others are going to look at them in an unattractive light.

So I wouldn’t be put off by it if I were you.
