As a man, do you feel the need to constantly prove your masculinity? I have a job, a car, I'm in shape, I chase goals, I fix things, and I don't let anyone disrespect me...but I don't like bugs. It frustrates me that this would make me less than.

No. I am perfectly content with my masculinity. When people go around saying, “a real man does X,” I just tune it out.

I also do not let it define me. I have outlooks on some things that I would consider to be feminine. My old roommate has often accused me of “playing for the other team” when I refuse to buy into his misogynistic worldview. Doesn’t bother me at all.

Most guys seem to prefer chasing women to being chased. I prefer to be chased, I’ve often felt like it would have been nice to have been born an attractive female, but only for that reason. In every other way, I like being a guy.
