Interpersonal Interaction: How common is it for people to intentionally violate social boundaries due to having a morbid curiosity of seeing what would happen if they violated them?

Well, nobody knows what your boundaries are until you tell them. So I’d say, yes social boundaries are routinely violated by people who have no clue the other person had those boundaries.

Now, if you’re asking me if it’s common for people to violate boundaries that they do know about just for the hell of it… sadly yes that’s pretty common too. My advice is to stay away from people that can’t keep themselves from doing that. If you asked me to not do something to you I’d bend over backward to accommodate you.
