I have a date tonight w/ a guy from a dating app. He got my cell after we matched + texted to confirm plans. Why did he delete me on the app after?

My guess is that he deleted you so that he doesn’t text you like you’re a new match by accident. Dating apps are so ridiculous for guys. Out of all the people you swipe right on, only one out of a hundred or so match. Then on the match, one out of ten actually text back. Then out of those, only one out of five actually have their head in the game enough to plan a date, a lot of them just use the app as entertainment and not for dating. Then one out of three girls actually show up.

It’s a numbers game. When you’re dealing with that kind of volume, you just don’t have time to lavish time and attention on every match, because experience proves that it’s mostly just wasted. So you just develop a set of rules and apply them. It works so long as you don’t make a mistake. Him deleting you from the dating app as soon as a date is locked in keeps him from doing that.

He’s probably going to keep working his pipeline until he’s in a relationship. Because it really doesn’t make sense to stop until then. He doesn’t know how the dates are going to go and you guys aren’t exclusive yet.
