How do I make quality friends in college that would stay for long-term friendship? How to get them and how to maintain them?

So much of this is dependent on geography. I’ve had friends over the years that fell away when they moved across town, much less across the country. Once you can’t see each other in person regularly anymore, the ‘meat and potatoes’ of friendship just aren’t there anymore. You can try, but in most cases, despite your best efforts, your college buddies will fall away anyway.

Enjoy college while it lasts. I wish I had a better answer for you.

The only thing I can think of to do would be to start a business together. But that puts the cart before the horse.
