You can’t find good web devs on elance because if you’re good, it’s way, way too easy to go to work full-time for a company for a ridiculously high salary.

I work for a consulting company. Contracts with big companies are our bread and butter. I can only imagine how much they’re billing my time out for. This consulting company is lucky to have me. The last meetup I went to had at least 4 people looking for developers. I’ve gotten 4 huge raises in the last 4 years.

The price for good custom web development has gone through the roof. My advice to you would be to factor that consideration into your business plans.
