Should I wait for my boyfriend after he asked me for a break from this relationship?

It breaks my heart to say this, but you’re both probably better off if you each move on. There’s really no point to continuing a relationship when both of you are in different cities and studying in different colleges. You need to give yourself the time and freedom to define yourself the way you want to rather than as one side of a relationship that you can’t actually continue.

Life has a way of being exceedingly cruel to relationships. Even if you guys were to stick it out until after you both graduate, what are you going to do if you get jobs in different cities?

It’s nobody’s fault, you’re both wonderful people, but if you can’t be together, then you can’t be together, and you guys can’t be together.
