You’d probably end up wishing you didn’t.
In the anime One Punch Man, protagonist Saitama has become so powerful that he can demolish any foe with just one punch.
Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?
Saitama is bored and passionless. Even though he clearly has character weaknesses, he’s completely unmotivated to work on them, and simply walks through life mostly unaffected by everything.
The only reason he has any fun at all is because the world he inhabits is chock-ful of wannabes. He wants to see others work on their strength because that's all he knows.
Now imagine if Saitama actually existed in today's world. His abilities would be completely useless. Perhaps he could generate power by manually turning generators. But that wouldn't be fulfilling and he'd be even more bored and unmotivated than he is now.
The only way superpowers are interesting is if enough other people also have them. Because what's really fulfilling in life has nothing to do with beating up the weak.
If you had superpowers, you'd likely spend your entire life trying to give them away.
