How important is a woman's figure to a man?

This question is impossible to answer in the general sense. Guys all each have their own standards. What’s different between guys and girls on this is that girls are more willing to look at the ‘total package’ than guys are. If a guy is a little overweight, but he is nice and makes a lot of money, she can find him attractive.

Guys, on the other hand will treat physical characteristics as ‘make or break’. If a particular girl doesn’t fit his criteria, in general no amount of other good qualities is going to make him attracted to her. A girl that is unwilling to put in the hours to maintain her figure is, sadly, going to lock herself out of a large cross-section of her dating pool.
