My mother keeps falling victim to scams but she just won't accept advice and now she's asking me for a loan. How do you deal with this?

I couldn’t get my checkbook opened fast enough. No amount of money now could possibly repay her for all she’s done for me.

Then I’d say, in the very sweetest tone I could muster, that I hope it helps her out. And try a little harder to stay involved in her financial life.
