The BDSM community has the mantra “safe, sane, and consensual.” This doctrine transforms human actions that would ordinarily be evil into healthy self-exploration. People you’re talking about are literally insisting that things remain in the world that override others’ wishes and safety, so as to satisfy their own wish for novel self-expression. Novel self-expression in this case being doing hateful things to other people.

Evil exists because we do. It is not a “fundamental force of the universe” or anything. We do not have to like and perpetuate evil, the evil won’t just ‘move elsewhere’. If we don’t create evil, it doesn’t exist.
