If what Kierkegaard said regarding the irrationality of religion is found to be true, then why should we bother to practice religion?

Religion deals with the irrational parts of us in a way nothing else does. Religion is the bedtime story for grown-ups, where God tells us stories of bygone peoples and their struggles, and we find that they're much like our struggles.
