If as a Christian, you believe that God’s morals are perfect and unchanging, do you still think owning and beating people is not immoral?

What does God’s morality matter to a human society? Morals concern how you choose your own actions. People think that just because God’s omnipotent that means he needs to control the actions of humans. If He did that would mean those humans would no longer have free will.
